I work between illustration, figure drawing, installation, mixed-media and graphic design, moving fluidly between physical and digital.
As an artist, I'm guided by experimentation and play. I enjoy shifting themes, mediums, and textures, to explore my personal sense of beauty and wonder. I often come back to questions of womanhood, migration, the human body, nature, mysticism and a persistent search for home.
Alongside my artistic practice, I work as a graphic and spatial designer, translating research and context into intentional visual and spatial narratives.
My inspiration comes from a semi-nomadic life, a belief in poetry, and a lifelong attention to landscape, memory, and contradictions.

Marcelle is an artist and interdisciplinary designer living and creating in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Minas Gerais, Brasil, she also lived for extended periods in China, Italy, Spain and the US.
