MARCELLE IS AN ARTIST AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER LIVING AND CREATING IN BROOKLYN, NY. SHE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN MINAS GERAIS, BRASIL AND IMMIGRATED TO THE US IN 2016.
I work between traditional and digital illustration, figure drawing, mixed-media, graphic design, identity design and storytelling.
As a designer, I anchor my process in strategy: listening closely to clients' goals, researching the target audience, and shaping concept ideas into visual language and narrative.
As an artist, I'm guided by experimentation and play. Through shifting themes, mediums, and textures, I explore beauty, women's issues, everyday objects and my personal sense of wonder and worry. I’m inspired by what amazes me and what troubles me, the things that fill me with passion, fear, hope, tenderness and fury.
